Silence surrounds my rusted body.
I ache for fingers to touch my delicate,
Smooth lips of black and white.
I want to pulse underneath them, sing to them.
I can no longer play.
My strings will never be plucked.
My tough pedals will never get stepped on.
How I wish to whisper and scream
Once more, into their ears.
After all, I am made to play.
