I put my hand on my heart and wished for bliss

Hoping that the twinkle of the stars would mimic my pulse

Getting faster and faster

I hope the constellations can keep up

Peering into alabaster spheres of matter

Can only give me so much hope

And while the darkness consumes everything

But my eyes

A million stars die

And leave me putting my hopes into the abyss

Silently wishing for momentary hours of bliss.
